Welcome to the HPD information page. You may use our form download to get an event permit form or information on liquor license for the City.

The Homewood Police Department is located at the intersection of 29th Avenue and 19th Street. Our mailing address is 1833 29th Avenue South, Homewood, Alabama 35209.

Our customer satisfaction survey is read by the Chief of Police. The Tip line is monitored also if you need to get tips or information to HPD, we have attempted to make it as easy as possible. You may remain anonymous if you wish through any of these channels of contact.

I need to be fingerprinted (for work, school, bar exam, etc.). How much does it cost?

Fingerprinting is $5.00 per card. CASH ONLY. Please bring exact change; we cannot make change. If you do not have the fingerprint cards, we will provide them for no extra charge


What do I need to bring to be fingerprinted?

To be fingerprinted, you must show a valid photo ID. Bring the cards if your business or school has provided the fingerprint cards. It is also helpful if you have a black pen.


When and where can I be fingerprinted?

Fingerprinting is done at the Homewood Police Department in downtown Homewood. When you enter the lobby, pick up the phone on the wall to let the dispatcher know that you need to be fingerprinted. Fingerprinting is done Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday between the hours 8:00am to 4:00pm If the corrections officers are busy processing an arrest, you may be asked to wait or return at a later time.
